Kellve, 116 years of history


1890
The company is founded as Kjällströms mechanical workshop by Alfred Kjällström as a smith in Kvänum, producing among others ploughs and harrows

1924
The son Sven Kjällström take over when the father dies. The production is expanded with more different kinds of products within agriculture

1939
The company has 20 employees and an annual turnover of 300.000 sek

1945
Despite world war two, the company is expanding. The company starts to manufacture scraping equipment to the gravel and coal industry.

1957
The first belt conveyors for gravel, coal, and concrete is manufactured

1966
At this time the company had 130 employees and an annual turnover of 10 MSek. Belt conveyors are the most important product to the company.

1985
The company is divided in Kellve (agriculture products) and Kellve Conveyor (Belt conveyors). Consilium acquire Kellve Conveyor from Incentive.

1987
The Company is at this time called Consilium Bulk Kvänum AB and functions as a subsidiary to Consilium Bulk in Enköping

1991
Bulkteknik AB commenced business in Järpås, with the focus on preplanning, designing, supplying, installing and commissioning material handling plants. The plants have included silos och bins, mechanical and pneumatic transportation, weighing and customised systems for dosing and mixing.

1992
Consilium Bulk Kvänum AB is sold to the materials handling division within the English Babcock-group and changes name to BMH Kellve AB.

2004
The two companies, Kellve and Bulkteknik, merged in May 2004 and thereby formed one of Scandinavia’s leading companies in bulk material handling. After several years of close cooperation in a number of joint projects, the final step was taken when the merger took place. With its many years' of experience within transport of bulk material Kellve had thereby found the ideal partner in Bulkteknik with its specialist expertise within bulk material handling.

2005
The company acquires Kiruna Industrilego (Kilab) in Kiruna which changes name to Kellve Industrilego.

The company establishes an office at Arlanda, Stockholm

2006
A new factory is built and ready for production at the end of October

Kellve Installation is established and is a development of Kellve Bulktekniks ambition to become a complete supplier. The new company will enable Kellve Bulkteknik to offer competence, quality assurance and complete control throughout the delivery chain.
