Kellve Bulkteknik was at the end
of September awarded the
contract to deliver seven silos
to Verdal, 70 km northeast of
Trondheim. The delivery is to a
completely new plant and will be
used for storing quicklime.
Among the seven silos there are
two silos of 1500 m3
respectively for raw material (limestone),
four silos with a total of 15650
m3 for quicklime, as well as a
smaller silo of 150 m3 for the
filter meal. The client Norfra
is co-owned by Nordkalk and
Franzefoss which both are
clients to the company since
several years. “The client is
well familiar with our silo
solutions and we have delivered
similar solutions to a plant in
Gotland. We see this order as a
sign that they are satisfied
with our earlier deliveries”,
says project manager Lars
