On
June 17:th, LKAB inaugurated its
newest and largest pelletizing
plant, KK4, and adjacent KA3
concentrating plant. The plants
are the largest in the history
of LKAB and comprises a total
investment of 7000 MSEK. The
plant was inaugurated in the
pressence of the Swedish crown
princess Victoria as well as ca
400 invited guests. Kellve
Bulkteknik has delivered
logistic solutions, belt
conveyors to the new
concentrating plant.
The project manager from Kellve
Bulkteknik, Niclas Svantesson
was present at the inauguration.
“Its an impressing plant that
LKAB now opens up in Kiruna, he
says. All the suppliers has been
selected among international
competition. Very high standards
was demanded in terms of
technical level, output capacity,
dependability, and quality.
Therefore, it feells really good
to be one of the suppliers to
the plant, which also is a
acknowledgement of our
competiveness in these areas.
Kellve Bulktekniks part in
the delivery comprises :
- 19 belt conveyors, total
length 1500 m
- 12 belt feeders, total length
ca 100 m
- 16 hydraulic hatches
- 1 belt feeder including
tractor hopper
- Reconstructions in the
existing concentrating plant
- Installation and education of the above
